Cultivating A Positive Attitude
Cultivating a positive attitude is everything. The power of positive thinking and personal growth never cease to amaze me.
I believe that having a positive attitude is everything in life.
So how do you go about cultivating a positive attitude?
You must believe that you get to choose your attitude each and every day.
Maintaining a positive attitude is one of the keys to a
healthy lifestyle.
Definition of Attitude
The definition of attitude is
"A complex mental state involving beliefs and feelings and values and dispositions to act in certain ways."
Cultivating a positive attitude is a matter of understanding that you have the power to be positive every day.
The only real control we have is self control.
The older I get the more convinced I become that a person's attitude and outlook plays an incredibly vital role in their lives and in the lives of those around them.
I believe that life is about 10 percent what happens to us and 90 percent how we respond to those events.
Those people who have figured out that a positive mental attitude will help them to achieve greater fulfillment in life are so much further ahead than those individuals who have a negative attitude towards life's events.
You Can Choose Your Attitude
I feel that we have to get in the habit of greeting each day with a positive attitude.
You have to choose your attitude.
This behaviour is a key part to your personal growth system.
It is a learned behavior and we must train ourselves to do this.
Recognize that on any given day there may be bumps. There may be some stressful situations.
One of the best ways to reduce stress is to remember that you are in control.
This is power positive thinking.
We must find the positive in every situation. This is one of the key strategies to success in life.
And it does wonders for our mental health. We are happier, and more open to enjoy life and all that it has to offer.

Your personal growth solutions will start with cultivating a positive attitude. Here are tips to help you get started.
1.
Take Ownership of Your Attitude
We control our attitude. It is not something that is genetically or environmentally determined. We can choose to have a positive attitude about life.
You can look at a glass as half full or half empty. The choice is yours.
2.
Be Non-Judgmental
Let go of being critical of others. Open yourself up to not judging others. Try instead to listen and understand.
As you open yourself up to not judging others you will be able to accept and enjoy yourself and others more.
3.
Eliminate What You Are Tolerating
Tolerations are things we put up with that we do not really have to. We all tolerate more than we realize. Think about what you are tolerating.
Just by becoming aware of and articulating some of your tolerations you will naturally start handling, eliminating, and fixing them.
4.
Let go of Things That Do Not Matter
Much energy can be spent on being irritated and annoyed by things that really do not matter much.
Put things in perspective and let go of a lot of it.
5.
Become Incredibly Selfish About Whom You Are
You need to matter to yourself. Establish boundaries with bother people so they do not take advantage of you. Love who you are.
You are unique and special. Stop trying to be someone else.
6.
Make Shifts That Reflect Who You Are
Your behaviour has to be grounded in your
personal core values.
Focus on what you want your life to be like rather than a specific behaviour you want to change. For example: I will exercise regularly.
Shift
I am someone who values my body and I will eat only healthy foods. When you make this shift you also will set up an exercise schedule
and diet that reflects your values.
7.
Have Fun in The Present
Take delight in life and create fun experiences for yourself. Life needs to be lived in the present and you might as well laugh and enjoy yourself.
Cultivating a positive attitude is not difficult and should be embraced.
