Good Carbs, Bad Carbs
What Are Carbohydrates?

Good carbs, bad carbs, and what are Carbohydrates?
A list of low carbohydrate foods that will keep you on track with your healthy eating plan.

What Are Carbohydrates?

So what are carbohydrates? For this page we will focus on the two types:

Simple carbohydrates, which are found in fruits and dairy products are more easily digested by the body. Unfortunately they are also often found in processed, refined foods such as white sugar, pastas, and white bread.
Avoid these foods.
Complex carbohydrates take longer for the body to digest. Found in vegetables (cellulose), grains, and legumes. Eating some oatmeal will fill you up and give you longer lasting energy than a bowl of sugary cereal due to the way the body processes and uses the carbohydrates. These are the good carbs to build into your daily healthy eating plan.
