Personal Development -Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying

So what are you doing? Living or dying? How does this relate to personal development and self growth? I feel that this question is at the heart of the matter. Either you are growing and developing as a person, or you are stagnant. Stale. Just barely existing. Is this what you envisioned for yourself? I think not. There is something that has led you to this point and to this website.

Prior to this point there may have been barriers to personal growth for you. They are different for everyone. Sometimes the hardest part of any self help plan is having the courage to take the first step. Well you have done that by coming to this page. We must find inspiration to stay the course.

Balance

I find that most people who are examining the areas of personal development are actually out of balance in some aspect of their lives. Consider the following areas of your own life:

health and well being, career, friendships, relationship, self esteem, fun and recreation, family, finance, contentment. What I recommend is that you mark these items down and rate each one on a scale of 0 to 100. This should help create a visual description of where you are in each of these areas.

What The Hell Do You Want?

Where do you want each of these areas to be on that scale? Is one area more important than another? For some it is their career, for others their family. The articles in this area of the site will help you examine these all important issues. You can read about goal setting, personal values, skill development, overcoming fear, and much, much more. I will try to help you find the courage to take 100% responsibility for your life, and how to go about enacting the changes you desire.

In Conclusion

In closing, I feel that you should start your own personal improvement by asking, "Who am I?". Go to the article on core values. It is an extensive article. So make sure that you have a lot of time to complete it. Be sure to check back often for updates. Sign up for the RSS feed and newsletter. This way you will be kept up to date on any new content on this website as it happens.
