It Is Time To Take Responsibility
Stop making excuses and start making improvements. Take responsibility. My goodness some people love to make excuses and not take responsibility for their actions. Or for their life. They blame everyone and everything for their apparent shortcomings and so called failures. That’s right, I said it. I’m calling a spade a spade. People may not want to hear it, but I’m saying it anyway. Here is one. “That’s true, but...”. Wow, imagine, something is true and there still needs to be a qualifier. It is an excuse. Imagine this scenario. Someone just backed into a utility pole with their vehicle, “ Oops, it was an accident”. Stupid pole! How dare someone put a pole there!! It was the poles’ fault I guess. What if it was a child they just backed over? I guess it would be the child's fault. Or their parents. Okay, ask yourself two questions. Do want to see improvement in my life? Yes or no. Am I taking positive action? Yes or no? That is it. No qualifiers, no excuses. One definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. So maybe we should do the opposite. What you have been doing isn’t working so you have to mix things up. Look at it this way. Making excuses is what has led you to where you are in your life. If you are not satisfied with your career, your relationships, your health, or anything else, it is because you allowed things to get to where they are. Do you want to want to see improvement in your life? Then you must take total accountability for your life right now! It is an enlightening moment when you do this. Life is a matter of attitude. By making excuses what you are really doing is saying that other people have control over your life. Taking responsibility says that you are in control of your life. So are you motivated? This means being informed and making positive choices and positive decisions. Excuses can only lead to failure. Making excuses is a reason to fail or to do the wrong thing. I feel that you are worth it to start making positive changes right now. Do you?
